Al-Anon is a 12-step program for the friends and family members of problem drinkers, offering support and understanding for those affected by someone else's drinking. ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) and CoDA (Codependents Anonymous) address the lasting effects of growing up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional home, and the patterns of codependency that can follow into adulthood. Younger family members and friends can also find support through Alateen.
