Choices Books & Gifts is a health, wellness, and recovery store. We specialize in sobriety coins and recovery medallions (AA, NA, and custom bling coins), books, crystals, candles, jewelry, and gifts that support healthy, sober lifestyles. We've been serving the recovery community for over 40 years.

What is a sobriety chip or recovery medallion?
A sobriety chip (also called a recovery medallion or coin) is a token given to mark milestones in recovery from addiction — commonly 24 hours, 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, and each year after. We carry a wide selection of AA, NA, and custom medallions, including personalized "bling" coins made to order.

Ordering & Shipping

Do you have a physical store?
Yes! Visit us at 220 East 78th Street (between 2nd & 3rd Ave), New York, NY 10075. Store hours are Mon-Fri 11am-7pm and Sat-Sun 11am-6pm.

How long does shipping take?
Standard orders placed before 2pm ship the same day about 99% of the time. USPS Standard takes 3-7 business days, USPS Priority takes 2-5 business days, and FedEx (Express 3-Day, 2-Day, or Overnight) is our fastest option. FedEx does not ship on Sundays, so weekend FedEx orders go out the following Monday.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, via USPS International. Delivery is not guaranteed and typically takes 4-8 weeks, with limited tracking once a package leaves the U.S. Contact us at info@choicesgifts.com or (212) 794-3858 with questions.

What is your return policy?
We offer a 21-day return policy. Jewelry and medallions can be returned if unused and in original packaging. Books, gift cards, greeting cards, workbooks, crystals, tarot decks, personalized items, and worn or damaged items are not eligible for return. See our full Returns Policy for details.

Medallions & Recovery Coins

What is the difference between AA and NA medallions?
AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and NA (Narcotics Anonymous) medallions share a similar tradition of marking sobriety milestones, but each program uses its own official design and wording. We carry medallions for both AA and NA, as well as other 12-step programs.

What do the colors on AA medallions mean?
Medallion colors often correspond to specific milestones (such as 24 hours, 30 days, or yearly anniversaries), though exact color meanings can vary slightly by manufacturer. Check each product description for details on that specific medallion.

Can I get a medallion engraved or personalized?
Some of our medallion accessories, such as holders and cases, can be paired with personal engraving services. Contact us for current customization options. Custom "bling" coins can also be made to order, though these take additional time before shipping.
