The Purple Gold AA Medallion finishes a rich purple enamel face entirely in 24kt gold plating, without a silver accent, and is made for years 1 through 50.

"To Thine Own Self Be True," the anniversary year in Roman numerals, and "Unity, Service, Recovery" are engraved on the front, and the Serenity Prayer appears on the back. The AA emblem is cast in 24k gold-plated brass on both sides, topped with a glossy finish.
