The Black AA Medallion keeps the design simple: a solid black enamel face trimmed in 24kt gold plating, with none of the glitter or crystal accents found elsewhere in the line, made for years 1 through 50.

"To Thine Own Self Be True," the anniversary year in Roman numerals, and "Unity, Service, Recovery" are engraved on the front, with the Serenity Prayer on the back. The AA circle-triangle emblem is cast in 24k gold-plated brass on both faces, finished glossy and durable.
